Shiba-ken (Shiba dog)
With their fox-like faces, curled tails, and "smiling" expressions, Shiba dogs are incredibly charming and affectionate companions that bring joy and laughter to their owners every day.

That being said, I briefly checked their origins and history. Here are the three original lineages of Shiba dogs, which make up the original breed in Japan:
Shinshu Shiba: These small, red dogs came from Nagano and had a thick undercoat. They are the main ancestors of most Shibas today.
Mino Shiba: From Gifu, these dogs had a deep mahogany-red coat, pointed ears, and a sickle-shaped tail instead of a curled one.
San'in Shiba: San'in Shiba: These larger dogs came from the northeast, were often black, and didn’t have the white markings (urajiro) that are common in Shibas now.
Where is "Mame Shiba" my favorite one? Reading the articles, it seems that Mame Shiba is not recognize as a distinct breed. Japan Kennel Club (JKC) and the American Kennel Club view it as a deviation from the established breed standard, or better to refer as a modern, miniaturized version of the breed.

Talking about dogs,,, Shiba-ken (pronounced in Japanese), or Shiba dogs, seem to be popular all over the world. I often see videos on social media showing how cheerful and adorable they are. There are lots of funny clips of Shibas with their owners, and people love sharing their unique traits and behaviors.
Shiba dogs are happy, small hunting dogs that look a bit like foxes and act a little like cats. They have pointy triangle-shaped ears, a sturdy body, and tails that curl up in a special way. Shibas are clever and loyal, but they can also be stubborn and hard to train, so they need someone who is patient and knows how to work with dogs. They are recognized in four main colors: Red, Black & Tan, Sesame (rarest color) and Cream.
I’ve always loved dogs and cats. I had a dog when I was a kid, but not now. The only chance I get to spend time with them is when I see them at coffee shops (picture of customer's Shiba dog in blue truck)
.*Materials I used for this journaling:
1.0 & 0.5 felt pen writing.
Color felt pens for drawing.
Graphic stickers and tapes.
To-Do post-it.
Magazine cut-out images.
Graphic rubber stamps.
Cafe-latte.
With all these wonderful Shibas around, my wife gave me a Shiba plush toy, which I hang from my tote bag. Carrying plush toys on bags is pretty popular with young people, so I figured, why not? Now I always have my favorite dog plush with me.
