Just a Guy Starting a Journal Blog
Craft my own page with limitless freedom and let my imagination roam wherever it wants.

After retiring, I started journaling and practicing drawing and music playing—activities that inspire and free me. While art and music are widely appreciated, journaling with doodles and colorful stickers is often unfairly viewed as feminine. I believe journaling is essential: it offers a vibrant, personal outlet for anyone, regardless of gender, to express, relax, and reflect.
Through this blog, I’ll share my thoughts and creative process so others, especially men, might rediscover the joy and benefits of journaling. My pages can be messy, but that spontaneity is where creativity thrives. I hope my stories encourage readers to embrace their own creative spark, no matter what others might think.
Welcome to my first blog post. I’m Alex, a workaholic who spent years setting aside personal interests for work. Here, I’ll explore how rediscovering journaling, drawing, and my passion for stationery and gadgets has brought fresh enjoyment and meaning into my life.
Here are the 3 main reasons why journaling is good:
Reduces Stress and Anxiety: Journaling acts as an emotional release (catharsis), allowing you to get thoughts out of your head and onto paper. This helps manage overwhelming emotions, reduces ruminating thoughts, and alleviates mental distress.
Increases Self-Awareness and Clarity: By documenting daily experiences, thoughts, and feelings, you can identify patterns, triggers, and behaviors. This reflection helps you better understand your emotions, values, and goals, leading to improved decision-making.
Boosts Mental Health and Emotional Regulation: Regular writing helps process traumatic or negative experiences, improving mood and boosting self-confidence. It acts as a tool for cognitive behavioral therapy, helping you track, manage, and cope with depression or anxiety.
