Journaling supplies

Journaling supplies transform ordinary writing into a playful, creative ritual that sparks my imagination.

Talking about journaling supplies, here are some of the graphic tapes and stamps I have collected over the years. Since I prefer to keep my journal pages simple and clean, usage of these tapes and stamps is quite minimal, and the overall appearance of the pages needs to be "well-balanced".

By “well-balanced,” I mean I avoid using tapes with similar graphics together to keep the page from looking chaotic. For example, if I use a tape with many dots or stripes in various colors, I avoid placing similar tapes next to each other or over-using them throughout the pages. Rather, I keep the rest of the page subtle so the materials do not compete.

Building on my interest in journaling supplies, I recently checked social media and discovered a variety of materials people use. Some people choose colorful papers, graphic tapes, and stamps, while others prefer stationery items that help you cut and paste old magazines, paper bags, and packages. I think all of these are cool. While many journalers use various materials to decorate their pages, making the journal colorful, thick, and heavy, others use minimal materials and focus on writing. I think my style falls somewhere in between.

As more people start journaling, businesses that sell journaling supplies are growing too, and I am one of those people who like trying out new journaling supplies and tools that look interesting. Using different supplies helps me make my journal pages stand out and show my mood and style.
